Recovering CD key

N

Nick Baxter

I purchased office pro 2003 from a website which emailed me a key and allowed
me to download a cd image. i chose not to as i had installed the trial
version of office 2003 and only needed to enter the cd key.

i've used it fine for a year, and have recently reinstalled windows. i then
struck a problem, the cd key i need is in an outlook pst file, but to read it
i need the key to install office. i thought i was being clever, and
reinstalled office from the trial cd, using the key that came with it.
except the trial version does not allow me to import my pst files to access
the required email, and now that i have looked on these newsgroups the useful
sounding jellybean tool does not work as it simply gives me the cd key for
the trial version.

i have also tried accessing order history from the website, but i cannot
remember which email address i used, having tried all of them it will not let
me in...

any suggestions much appreciated!

Let me guess... you paid about $50 for the key and CD image
download? If yes, then you purchased a pirated copy of Office.
If you don't have an MSDN subscription, then you cannot legally
download a CD image of full version of Office 2003 from anywhere.

The website I got it from is studentoptions.com, which I understood to be a
legitimate site selling discounted software to students. I am willing to
stand corrected, and any further help is appreciated. Oh and I paid just
under £70, which is about $120?
