Recurrence Changes

I would like to end a Recurrence, *without* having all
the past information in the calendar changed, i.e. busy
or free color, subject info., etc.

Is this possible, or will I always lose that info. from
past appointments?

Open the item and go click on recurrence > place an end date in the end by
field.
