Hi,

How can I create a task that runs every 2 hours for 10 mins over a
period of 6 days.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Recurring tasks only happen once a day. However, if you create a recurring
task then it is easy to adjust them to suit what you want by editing
durations etc.

Here's two ways to make recurring milestones on the 15th and 30th of each
month. I documented these techniques a year ago. To have it work for a 2hour
task, you may need to play with the Working Hours values for the project.

Method A
1- Insert a Recurring Task and set it as 0days (Milestone), Monthly on the
15th.Set your start and end dates for the three years. Click OK.
2- Expand the list of Milestones. You should have one task per month on the
15th. (Dates will be adjusted away from weekends)
3- Select the first milestone task. Perform a CTL-C, then a CTL-V to copy
and paste the task, creating two copies of the task.
4- Repeat Step-3 to each task so you will have two copies of each Milestone
Task on the 15th of the month.
5- Change the date of each duplicate to the 30th of the month.
6- Adjust the Name of each Task to eliminate the duplicate names.
Now you have Recurring Milestone Tasks twice per month, all under one
Summary. :>)

Method B
1- Create a Recurring Task on the 15th. Name it "Mid-Month"
2- Under these create a Recurring Task on the 30th. Name it "End-Month".
3- The End-Month tasks will be indented under the Mid-Month tasks.
4- Select all the End-Month tasks and outdent them.
5- The End-Month Summary will become a Task. Delete this task.
6- To Sort the tasks: One by one, Click and drag the End-Month Tasks under
their respective Mid-Month task.
7- Rename the Summary Task to "Twice per Month Milestones"
Your done!
