redeploy office from a different location

My xp\2000 machines have office 2003 installed from either a
\\server\apps\office administrative install point, or using the .msi deployed
through the windows active directory.
I want to redeploy office to all machines using .msi and the AD but from a
new location, will the old office 2003 installs be reinstalled and
overwritten (so I can delete the old apps and msi distribution folders).
