reduce display size of slide show

When I run Poerpoint's Slide Show I would like to have access to other
applications as well.
How can I reduce the amount of screen taken up by the Slide Show.

Do you have v.2003?

If so try hold down ctrl key and click on the little screen icon lower left
(show from current slide) Then minimise the edit mode of powerpoint
