Reference setting

What if any reference can be set so word will reconize a tab field delimiter
on import of text file. It reconizes my end of record ok. (Useing 2000) Or
maybe I should use something different when setting text file?

The context of your question is not clear. Perhaps if you show us your code we
can figure out what kind of "import" you're doing?
