Reformat very long swimlane to fit pieces on 8 1/2 x 11 landsc. pa

I have a huge swimlane (prints on E size paper) that i need to
manipulate/re-format to place in a 8 1/2 x 11 doc.

It doesn't have to fit on only one page, but I think it should be one
landscape page deep and then as many long as it needs to be for readability.
Ideally, the separation between pages would be along the Phase seperator
lines (already in there) whenever possible.

A co-worker emailed me and said:

The only way I know how to do what you are asking is to:
- resize the page layout to letter
- select all "control a"
- resize objects by grabbing an edge handle to fit the new page size
- now go to the font size and select a size that will fit on the page. some
times this doesn't work and you will have to select individual objects and
then change the font size.

Please point me in the right direction!!

Thanks!!!

Visio will Tile the pages without changing the page setup, but it will not
combine tiling images onto one piece of paper, if that's what you are
looking for.

You can use the Fit To options to limit the height and/or width to a number
of pages in each direction, which will automatically scale the drawing to
fit the tiles based on your limits. Note, however, that it will shrink
both dimensions evenly - so if you shrink 3 pages of info into one page
vertically, it will also shrink horizontally.

By the way - does your cross-functional flow actually fill the page from
top to bottom? If not, you can reduce the Visio drawing page size, to get
rid of the white space - then you could zoom to, say, 4 pages across by 1
high, and get all you need in 4 pages instead of 12 or 16.

Let me know if that helps!
