registering an old program onto a new computer

My old computer crashed and I now have a new one. I cannot get my Office XP
registered with the new computer because it was already registered with my
old one. How can I re-register the program into my new computer without
getting a message that I have a invalid Product key number?

No, I bought it.

If your computer came with a free trial of Office 2003 installed
on it, then you need to uninstall the free trial software before
you install your old copy of Office XP. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=836178 "You receive an
'invalid product key' error message when you start an Office 2003
program after you install Office Professional Edition 2003" for
more information.

I bought the Office XP 2003. It was not a free trial offer. So what do I do
now?

There is no such thing as "Office XP 2003". I didn't say your
old copy of Office XP was a free trial. I said your new computer
may have come with a free trial version of Office 2003
preinstalled by the computer manufacturer. It seems you did not
read the Microsoft Knowledge Base article I cited, so maybe you
could take a moment to do so now.
