My church group wants to purchase 2002 to use for our
newsletter. However, we will have a different officer who
does the newsletter each year. If I register it under my
name, will the next person be able to use the software on
their computer without buying a new upgrade every year?
We don't have the money to buy new softward every year.
Thanks!

I assume the software will be installed on the editor's computer, not one
owned by the group. The only problem you will have is that after it's been
activated on the first system, you will have to activate it by telephone
with Microsoft on each change of officers. Just make sure you check to make
sure that whoever will be doing the newsletter exceeds the minimum system
requirements for the program.

[And a word of advice - make sure the other officers get their reports to
her on time. I do a newletter for a non-profit organization and the last
board was great - with a gentle nudge. I've been asked to stay on as
editor/we coordinator. Next month will be my first submission deadline with
the new board - wish me luck. :) ]

I sincerely wish you good luck!

I too do a volunteer newsletter. My next issue is due at the printer
August 15. My co-chair was supposed to send out a reminder July 15 and
July 30. I had organized that 3 months ago. She left on a pre planned
vacation this week and notified me by email July 11 that the reminders
would have to wait til her return. Since I do all the editing, the
reminders are her *only* job. :) (should be a sarcastic smiley but I
don't know that one)
