Reinstall Office 97 on new PC

S

Susie

Replaced my old HP with a Dell (O/S - XP for Home.)
Tried to reinstall Office 97 from my diskettes, but I get
a message "doesn't show that I am a licensee of the
program." No wonder as the Dell ONLY comes with Word
Perfect!

Microsoft does not support Office 97 anymore and I can't
find anything in the knowledge database about reinstalling
it on a replacement PC. Got any suggestions?

Thank you.

Hi Susie,

Can you quote the exact and complete error message please?
That one doesn't appear to be one that is from an Office or
Office 97 app.

What action are you performing when you get that message?
