Somehow my original installation of office xp pro on a
windows xp system got corrupted. I tried to remove it
and i got the following error
The patch package could not be opened. Verify that the
patch package exists and that you can access it, or
contact the application vendor to verify that this is a
valid installer patch package".
When i tried to repair it i got the same error.
Since i was running out of disk space, i deleted what
files that i could, and tried to reinstall from the files
i had copied to my hard drive from the cd-rom. The cd-
rom didn't work either. I either got some kind of
ohotfix is encountering problems error or the same error
listed above
