Hi all -
Running Win XP SP2 w/ Office 2003. Had to format my HD and reload
everything. Before I did, I backed up my data
. Made sure I had a copy of
everything in \documents and settings\user\local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook.
I am using MSN connector interface into Outlook. No problems in the past.
B4 when I used Outlook, My Personal Folders / Inbox had several folders and
I had rules set up for certain incoming emails and the inbox itself had
other emails that came in. I also had about 250 contacts in my contacts
list.
Reloaded PC, installed Office & MSN Outlook connector.
Started Outlook, all of the messages that were in my inbox are still there
with the exception of the folders within the inbox and the messages in those
folders and all of my contacts are missing.
Checked \docs&settings\user\localsettings\appdata\ms\outlook and it there is
a file called outlook.nst (which is relatively large and has a modified date
of when I last used Outlook before reloading). Tried to find info on .nst
files and what I found was that these are Lotus Notes connector files. I
have never used Lotus Notes.
Is there a way to recover my stuff?
TIA -
