Reloaded Win 98, now Office doesn't work

L

Lewis

Forced to reload Win 98 OS (after doing the online windows update thing from
the Web and rebooting, Windows wouldn't load). Although my Office Premier
version shortcuts and Icons are there, none of the Office apps will load.
Must I reload office now?

My 40G hard disk had 20G spare - suddenly it started filling.
Computer got too slow to be useful
Tried to rerun something and was left with black screen.
Eventually got something back by running setup from DOS
Tried to reinstall Windows ME - 4 times but failed in the last minutes could
not load something like "shu" files
Became desperate and retried using a new folder - things got better.
Seem to have got back most facilities but OUTLOOK does not work - error
message says "A device attached to the system is not working properly"
Another message says "OUTLLIB.DLL" is linked to missing export MSO9.DLL.939

Any help would be appreciated

Sound like a fundimental problem, with either win* , hardware, virus/trojan
You would need to rectify this first.
