Remote Website conflict

I have reformatted my hard drive since I last used my Remote Website option.
It seems that re installing Front page has created conflicts. When I click
on the 'remote to local' button, every file shows 'Conflict'. Fortunately,
the website itself, is still OK. What is the best way to correct this
situation without causing further damage? Thanks.

This is a normal state in your circumstances. To remove the conflicts
you will have to Publish all pages, either from your PC to the server,
or the other direction (depending on which is more up to date). This
will synchronise the meta data on the server site and your hard disc.

Nothing is damaged - just meta data out of synch.

I started publishing the pages, Remote to Local, but certain files are not
being recognised. I have deleted a couple but the file, '_logs/.htaccess'
can't be deleted. What a mess!

Do not delete any files named .htaccess - they are recognised by
FrontPage, and deliberately ignored. FP will not try to publish them.
Mark any file in _logs as "Do not Publish" (right click the files, and
choose "do not publish"). These are probably log files placed there by
your host. It would be beter if your placed them in a folder named
logs, then you could convert the folder to a subweb, and ignore the
contents.

Tried to do as you suggest, however, when I right click .htaccess it is
ghosted, so I can't select it!
