remove a file from a master file

How do I do it? Everything I've tried doesn't work....
to delete the link - doesn't work
to unmark the V of "Link to project" - doesn't work
delete the line itself - doesn't work

Does it matter if the file (that I wanna remove) is linked to a resource pool?

Please help!

Hello assaf,

Open the pool file with full read/write access. Navigate to Tools >
Resource Sharing > Share resources and find the file in the pool listing.
Disconnect the file from the resource pool.

Pardon me for jumping in. As I recall, this was a bug with Project 2003
and was fixed by update SP3. If you are using Project 2003 and do not
have that update installed, you need to do so. You can get it from
Microsoft's website for Project updates.

Hopefully my memory isn't to messed up.
