remove decimal places

How can you permanently hide decimal places in an Access 2003 pivot table?

If you go into the properties for the field, and go to the Number field, I
can type in a 0, press Enter, and the pivot table displays the numbers
without any decimal places. However, when the pivot table is closed and
reopened, the decimal places are back. Even if I go back to the table and
change the field format to no decimal places, the pivot table still displays
the decimal places. If I change the number field to the field size of Long
Integer, then the ptable will not show the decimal places. Is there any other
way to remove the decimals other than changing the field size?
