remove embedded project

I am using project 2003.
I have embedded a linked project within a master project. However I wish to
remove the embedded project. Once I highlight the embedded project and
select delete, nothing happens (couple of times it comes back with 'you will
delete a task with actual working days' however it never actually deletes the
tasks) any ideas ? Is this a bug ??

Yes, it is a bug that was fixed with an update released in March 2004. See

I recommend installing the Service Pack for MS Project 2003 which included
this fix. See
