Remove From Server when deleted not working

I am using Outlook 2003 and have my pop accounts setup to Leave a copy of
messages on the server option checke. Then I checked remove from server when
deleted from 'Deleted Items' and this is not working. When I use the web
based version to check my e-mail (Comcast.net) all the messages that I
thought where beeing deleted are not and I was running out of space on my
ISP.
