Remove / Hide Microsoft Office Online Template Group in 2007

Is there any way we can remove or hide the Microsoft Office Online Template
group in the New Document dialog window.

Yes and no. You can't remove/hide it from the New dialog box but you can
force the New dialog box from previous versions to be used instead which
doesn't include the templates from Office Online or a link to them. For
this, in the Registry at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\Internet

Create a new DWORD value named:
DisableTemplatesOnTheWeb
Value: 1
