Remove names of deleted files from GETTING STARTED - OPEN task pan

I have deleted versions of a presentation from 'My Documents' folder yet the
file names of all those deleted files are still listed in the GETTING STARTED
task pane in the OPEN section. How do I delete these file names from this
OPEN box ? PWRPNT 2003 on an AMD 64 3000+ CPU. Thank you for your aid!
