Removing 2003 Favorite Folders

I installed OL2k3 and set it up as I wanted it. I then removed a "bunch" of
the Favorite Folders from the Mail area. Things were fine until I shutdown
OL2k3 and restarted it. All of the folders were back. How does one make them
go away for good?
