Favorite Folders now include Contacts folders from My Contacts

Hi,

I have been using the Favorite Folders with Outlook 2003 SP3 (connected to
Exchange Server) for a long time with no problem.

Yesterday, for some unexplained reason, a bunch of the folders from My
Contacts (but not all of them) appeared in the Favorite Folders window and a
bunch of the Favorite Folders (again not all of them) appeared in My
Contacts. I was able to remove the Favorite Folders from My Contacts by right
clicking and selecting Remove From Favorite Folders, then subsequently adding
them back in. However there is no comparable option for removing the contact
folders from Favorite Folders.

So two questions: how can I remove the contact folders from Favorite
Folders and how did this happen in the first place?

I am experiencing exactly the same problem, and it is very annoying. I have
not yet found out how to remove all the contact folders from the favorite
folder pane. Any solution on how to remove these from the favorite folders
would be most welcome.

My problem here disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared. I wish I knew
why. It got even more mysterious before it got better. After several days of
the above described behavior, I was then unable to drag any mails from one
folder to another. I rebooted both my machine and my Exchange server a few
times, which did not seem to help any. Then, as if by magic, both problems
went away and now everything seems to work fine. Go figure. If anyone has any
ideas why this happened and why it got better, I would love to hear them.
