Removing an email address from the TO field

Is there a way programatically to remove an email address
from the TO field.

That question is pretty vague. Try adding the part where you explain
what program you are using and at what point you are trying to remove
the "address".

Using Outlook custom form with some code that adds an
email address to the TO field. At times, people using the
form with change their mind and make another selections
which requires me to remove the current email address, and
add another. I can add fine, but it leaves the original
one (email address) there. I am using VB script in the
form to add the address, I am try to figure out how to
clear the TO address field when necessary
