Removing Blank Spaces from OneNote Pages?

Hello,

When I "print"/"send to" OneNote from, say, Word, the document transitions
fine, but there is that blank footer/header space that you would get if you
printed off the document on a paper printer, or were looking at it on your
computer screen.
However, in OneNote, you don't necessarily need that large of a gap between
texts. It would be more fluid to have the document flow by being able to
remove those large blank space one in OneNote.
How do I go about removing the blank spaces in a OneNote document?

Thanks,

Justin

Try changing your print margins in word before you print.
Sendto Onenote takes the printed image, turns it into a picture, imports it
into onenote, and sets it as a background. Sendto onenote doesnt see
margins, it sees a paper, and it turns that paper into an image, and then
gives it to onenote.
So technically your blank space isnt in onenote, its in word, or whatever
other program you print from.

Hello James,

I understand this. I just thought there there might be a function within
OneNote that would allow you to clip out unwanted spaces (much like you can
in Photoshop, since both PS and OneNote work with pictures).

Thanks,

Justin

I agree that OneNote could use a simple function to trim unused space. I
often write notes and leave some space in sections so I can quickly elaborate
on a previous paragraph. However, I later find it labor intensive to remove
those extra lines. In addition, some applications do create huge margins
that get added to OneNote's existing page margins and it's a pain to adjust
margins in Word, for example, just to send some notes to OneNote.

Maybe a general "Optimize page space" (or "Remove unused space") option
could just tighten up the page for printing and readability...
