rename worksheet in Excel for Mac

when I rename a worksheet in Excel for Mac OS X, the name automaticall
is preceeded by a square bracket, although this is a not allowed valu
! I don't seem to be able to get rid of this bracket, and therefor
can not use dataseries from that sheet in a graph !
Any idea how I can rename my sheet without having the bracket ?

Thanks

This is a new one on me...

Are you renaming directly in the tab or in the rename dialog? What
are you trying to rename the sheet to?
