Renaming projects that have external links.

I have a master project that contains inserted supervisor projects:
master.mmp
Smith, Paul.mpp
Jones, Jerry.mpp
etc.

Each of the supervisor files has it's own resource pool and whatever logic
they have internally constructed to manage their resources. But.... there are
also cross links between the projects made within master.mpp to coordinate
the work of the different supervisors.

How do I not loose this logic if for example Jerry Jones moves on and John
Doe is going to take over his staff?

Changing the name of linked files will corrupt your links.
Changing the location of a linked file will corrupt your links (the file
name includes the complete path name)

Tell Mr. Doe he is known as Jerry Jones on this program.

Perhaps naming by function will help next time: Dxx-SystemEngineering,
Dxx-UnitTesting, etc.
