Repeat wav file in Powerpoint 2002

I have a sing along presentation that is menu driven. When I choose a song
from the menu for the second time, it won't play. I clicked the rewind
setting in Custom Animation but that doesn't help. To make the wav file play
again, I have to Esc and start the presentation over. Any help much
appreciated.
