Repeating a PowerPoint slide

How can I get a single PowerPoint slide to clear and then reanimate (same
text and timings) while the backround music continues to play?

How many times do you want to repeat the slide? If it is once or twice, you
might want to look at Custom Shows available through "Slide Show" | "Custom
Shows..." menu item. Add your slide twice in the same custom show. When you
start a custom show, the slide will reset and reanimate. If the music has
started on a different slide and continues to play in the slide that we want
to repeat, then the music will continue to play when the slide repeats. That
is, the music should start in one of the previous slides.

You can create a custom show and add the slide into the custom show. Then
have a hyperlink on any of your slides to the custom show.
