Repetitive sent messages

Several times I have forwarded interesting attachments of pictures and they have been sent to the receipients SEVERAL DOZEN TIMES! Very unhappy friends! Why does this happen?

I would run the inbox repair tool and send something via webmail to
determine if it is outlook or the server causing this problem
