Replace an existing shape with VBA

I'm having problems replacing a picture/shape with another picture/shape.
Deleting the existing shape and adding another shape with the same
formatting is proving to be rather futile. The Shape "Select" method has a
"Replace" option but I'm not finding any examples of the syntax to get this
to work.

This is part of a mail merge script that I want to replace the photo with
the appropriate photo depending on a record's field value.

Thanks for your help!

Solved. I realized that my formatting problems were due to saving as HTML
and that Word's formatting did not translate. Grabbing the formatting from
the previous shape before deletion and then applying them to the new Shape
was working.
