Replacing text in Master - Programmatically

Hi,

Please tell me as to how one could programmatically update (replace a
particular text) in a text-box. Am able to achieve text replacements in
slides but dont know how to access the master and replace a specific text
with another text?

For slides I used the replace method.

Thanks a lot,
Hari

If you just have one slide master and/or a version of PowerPoint before
2002, you can use:

ActivePresentation.SlideMaster.Shapes

to access the shapes on the slide master. If you have more than one
master, you can use:

ActivePresentation.Designs(1).SlideMaster.Shapes

From there, it is just like working with a shape on a regular slide.

Hi David,

Thanks a lot for your explanation am able to get my stuff done.

Just wanted to know if there is any web-link from which I can know more
about what slide-masters are etc. For example when there are 2 slide masters
how does one associate an individual slide with slide master rather than the
other (manually).

Like folks talk about slide master for title slide and one for other kind of
slides. So, when I make 2 slide masters how do I associate them wih the
individual slides (especially when I see six slide masters I Cant understand
how we link them to slides)

Also sometimes I see presentations where there are connecting lines between
one slide master to another. What are they for?

Thanks a lot,
Hari
