I want to print a report to show me which tasks should have been finished
between 2 dates and then be able to print out these tasks for each individual
resource.

For example, which tasks has Fred failed to get done between 1st Feb and
28th Feb.

Any advice gratefully received. Version XP.

Thanks, Anita

Anita,
One option that I have used is to create a new View using a Filter for the
dates and a Group By of Resource Names. You can edit the Page Setup as you
wish. (This Page Setup remains with the View.) Then just print. The
clunky part of this is that you have to manually iinsert page breaks for each
resource if you want to physically hand them pages with just their own tasks.

Anita,
Here is one way to do what you want, there are probably a few others.
First, activate the Resource Usage view. Next, create the following
resource filter under Project/Filtered For/More Filters/New (I called
mine "Should have finished Range")

And/Or Field Name Test Value
Finish is greater than or equal to "Start of Range"?
And Finish is less than or equal to "End of Range"?
And Actual Finish equal NA

Also be sure to check the "show related summary rows" option even though
technically there are no summary rows on the Resource Usage view - the
"summary" is the resource name.

When you apply the filter you should get the data you want. I assumed
you do NOT want to see assignments in the range if they indeed are
finished. If you do, just leave out the last line of the filter.

To print out a report for each resource, you can insert page breaks
between each. You could also add the Resource Name to the filter but
then you would have to run it over and over (multiple inputs for the
dates) for each resource.

Hope this helps.

Assuming you have set a baseline, go to View>Reports>Current Activities.
There are several reports that will work. If you have not set a baseline, you
don't have anything to compare to.
You can also run a Slipping Gant. This is based on Variance Start & Finish
(Current start & finish compares to baseline start & finish)

John, will this compare to the baseline? If not you're looking at current
projections not when task were originally scheduled to start.

Catfish,
It will compare to the baseline if the fields are changed appropriately.
Anita did not specify what she meant by "...should have finished." In
that vein, I assumed she was referring to the current schedule.
