Reporting zero as actual

I

Itzik

How do I configure the MSP so that every time my team
members reports me Actual of 0 hours for tasks that should
have begun - those tasks will move to the next day.
Now, when they report me 0 hours of actual work, nothing
happens.
Thanks

Hi Itzik,
when you enter these 0 hours in a timescaled view (Task Usage) the behaviour
is as you want, remaining work is shifted.

Not if the tasks are fixed duration. In a fixed duration task applying
0 to a day just increases the work per day for the rest of the duration.

You may want to change your Task Type to be Fixed Work or fixed Units.
You can do this by double clicking on the task and looking at the
Advanced Tab.

Hi Jan,
How do I make this behaviour work from entering data in
PWA and not in the Task Usage view?
