2007 actuals

Question is; when entering actual hours and costs in the task usage view, by
individual resource, strange things happen if zero is entered. Was using MSP
2003 Pro and could easily enter 0 hours if a resource did not work on a task.
the actual hour would translate to the "work" hours for the month. In 2007
it seems if 0 hours is entered, for some resources the assignment is
lengthened, as I would expect, but for other resources the "work" goes
slightly wacko and certainly does not turn to zero for the period as expected.

If something other than zero is entered, everything seems to work fine. Is
this a bug in 2007?

Check you r task type and effort driven settings. It sounds like P2007 is
distributing the work that Resource A did not do over to the remaining work
of the others assigned to the task. You can change this behavior by toggling
the Effort Driven check box on the task type.

Thanks Jim.

All tasks are fixed units and effort driven box is cleared. Some resources
allow me to enter 0 actual hours and some don't. Any other number is fine.
2003 did not have this issue.
