unusefull for me.
The report, whith i want to make, consist from data of more then one
project.

I thing, then I must use SQL querries for extract usefull data from
SQL database (DAPs alows connet just only one data source).

Can someone tell me:
1/ which tools I can use for extrat data from SQL server using SQl
querries
2/ what is the next step , after I execute these querries (for viewing
my reports)

Thanks for any replies.

If you want to use SQL querries to get info from your projects you
need to have a good understanding of the Project Server database.
There are files on the Project Server CD that will help you learn
about the SQL Tables etc...

When you are confident you understand what info is in what table and
how these tables are related then you can start to write SQL queries
as your reporting source.

I also found the MSP2002 reporting not that usefull. This is due to
the reporting our orginisation curently uses, and wants to continue
using when we go live with Project Server.

The approach I have adopted involves creating SQL Views of the data I
want to report on. I then link these views to an Office App such as
Excel, from here it is fairly simple replicate our organisations
current reporting.

I hope this helps you,

Stuart.
