resize cell height independently

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel How do I resize a cell height independently of the entire row?

I've inserted a table into a Word doc, and I need to have different heights for the rows in a single column. I can easily change the height for the entire row of cells, but I want to do this column by column.

All cells in the same row must be the same height. To get the effect you
want you'll have to select & merge cells or use the tools on the Tables &
Borders Toolbar to 'draw' the table cells. Either way it's limited & time
consuming, plus you wind up with a delicate structure. Be sure keep a backup
of the file.
