Resource allocation graph

Hi,

Project allows one to see a Resource graph one resource at a time. What if I
wanted to plot a graph which showed a graph of what resources I would need
when, across all resources on my project.

I would like to see a bar graph that shows resources needed each month so my
X-axis would have a bar graph with the number of resources by month. I would
like each bar to be colored based on the number of resources needed. So if in
the month of July I need 4 electrical engineers, 3 mechanical engineering,
and 1 project manager, I would like the bar for the month of july to have 3
colors, one for each.

The Y-axis would be the resource count. How can I accomplish this within
Project 2003 or using data from Project. Has anyone attemped to do this?

Rod,

Thanks for the response. I tried using the FAQ but still did not get it to
work. It still shows separate graphs for the resources.

Just FYI......in the lower pane where it shows the resource graph, on the
right hand side I have "Peak Units" checked. Could that be causing issues?

I tried checking cumulative work but it showed a stair-step like graph which
didn't seem quite accurate.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Varun

You need to select multiple resources in the top window to see their total
graphed below. Plot Work for work in each time period, not cumulative work.
