Resource management with project

Kay

Hi
I am running several projects with several development teams.
I use MSP for the project management.
I create calendars for each resource.
Now I would like to have a resource view. Which is ok so far, but I
would also like to
add the absences (in the individual calendars so far).
I also would like to add the admin tasks .
How can I do it?
I do not want to run this in addition to MSP in excel when I already
have 80% in MSP.

Thanks
Regars....

Hi Kay,

I'm not sure from your post what "resource view" you are working with that
you think is "okay." You can show the non-working time from individual
resource calendars as the background of the Resource Usage view through
Format > Timescale, and select the calendar from the Non-working time tab.
This is best done after filtering the view to remove all but a single
resource.

Fellow MVP, Jan De Messemaeker had an article on his website about
converting non-working time into tasks that you may also find useful. See
http://users.online.be/prom-ade/

and select the link "Microsoft Project: an Abstract" under the English
heading.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie
