Resource Names

Hi,
I am a newbie to MS Project. I have a question about the Resource Names
columns. And automatic drop-down box appears with resource names that I've
at some point used in a project plan. But some are there that are no longer
on the spreadsheet. How do I remove these from the auto fill drop down (my
list is way toooo long)?

Names on the resource list come from one of two places. First is the
Resource Sheet (View/Resource Sheet). If you delete them there, they should
go away.

A less common location is a shared resource pool. If your file is married
to a resource pool, the resources could be populating from there. It is
common for people to use a resource pool and still have resources with the
same name in a local file which is a problem. If you have a resource pool
linked, you can break that link by going to Tools/Resource Sharing/Share
Resources... and then select "use own resources"
