Resource - performance percent

I have some resources and some people I would say work very effeciently.
Others on the other hand work slower and not as effectively. Wondering where
or how you can put in a peformance factor for indivual resources.

Also wanting to know how to add a team of resources to a task. I know the
group field but not sure how you can assign a team of people. Showing the
indivuals on it- not just the team name and assign them to given tasks.
Would also like to take the person off of the team if needed.

Please help- thanks so much,
Barb

Hi Barb,

I don't believe there is a method to automatically have project figure
"performance factors". I suggest assigning your resources using the Task
Entry View (split your screen from the Gantt chart) and then adjusting either
the work or duration of the task to account for the performance factor. For
example if Joe (highly skilled worker) is assigned to a task that is 1 week
duration and 40 hours of work and I remove Joe and replace him with Julie (a
less skilled worker) I may have to adjust the work or duration to account for
the fact that it will take Julie longer (both in duration and the amount of
effort) to accomplish the task.

As far as assigning groups but still keeping your resources as individual
who are members of that group, I am sorry, that is not possible. If you use
Project 2002 or Project 2003, you may filter for members of a specific
resource group in the Assign Resources dialog box. Click in the Filter by:
section and select the Group... filter. Then type the group name and you
will see only resources from that group.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie
