Resource Rate for 2008

I am working on a huge project that extends into 2008. The resource rate
changes from $50 to $52 in 2008. I know how to add this to the resource on an
individual level. Is there a way to to this globally without losing the cost
information in the 2007 tasks?

From the resource sheet, double click the resource name.
Pull the cost tab.
Anter the effective date and new hourly rate on Tab A (Default)
Click OK.

repeat for each resource.

Costs will automatically switch to the new rate structure on the effective
date.

Thanks Jim, this much I understand. I need a way to change 50 resources all
at once!

Paula,
Pardon me for jumping in. You can do each resource manually, but using a
simple VBA macro is much easier, and less prone to human error. Try the
following code:

Sub AddRate()
For Each r In activeproject.Resources
r.CostRateTables("A").PayRates.Add EffectiveDate:="1/1/2008",
Stdrate:=52
Next r
End Sub

Hope this helps.

Thanks John... that was my next suggestion since it appears $52 applies to
everyone.
