Resource Usage Reports

Is there a way to get a Resource Usage Report that shows only the hours left
in the plan? Every option I've tried shows all the hours in the plan,
including the hours on 100% complete tasks. MS Project 2003.

Hello Marjorie,

The timescaled (right side) of the resource usage view does not
specifically note "remaining work". The work data showing is a
combination of actual work and remaining work. The closest I could
come in quick testing was to use the Resource Usage view (not report)
and group the data first by Name (Resource) and then group the
assignments by remaining work. If you collapse up the details on
assignments with zero remaining work, you get somewhat close.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie,
Thanks for the response. I can't seem to sort the way you suggested. When
I am in Resouce Usage view, grouping by Resouce is not an option. I have to
be in Task Usage view, and then remaining work is not an option. Is there a
default setting that I can change to allow me to do what you're suggesting?

Hello Marjorie,

You're welcome and thanks for the feedback.

To your question: in the Resource Usage view, group by the Name field,
not Resource. In resource views like the Resource Usage view, the
resource's name is in the Name field.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
