Resource usage sheet - Work problem

Hi All

Click Resource Usage -> Format -> Details ->Work

On the timephased sheet or the right hand side of this view

I want to enter "Work' for each day.

PROBLEM:

When I enter 1 hr for particular task
for a given day MS Project enters 0s for next few days and enters
1hr.

When can this happen ?

What should I do to fix this ? so that I can enter the "Work" exactly the
day I want
