Resource Usage View to Gantt Chart View

Hi,

I'm the owner of a Resource Pool to which ~25 files are attached to it. All
the work I do is through the Resource Pool file. I would like to know if it
is possible when looking at the Resource Usage View to "produce" a Gantt
Chart View for that specific resource rather then to have to consolidate all
the files and use the filters to look at the Gannt Chart of filtered resource?

One way is to insert al projects into a new project but DON'T link (clear
the link option in the Insert Project dialog window). This copies all tasks
from all projects and consolidates all resource information. Now all you
need to do is filter for the resource in the Gantt Chart.

I record a macro of me creating this consolidation (be very careful about
clearing the link option) and then re-run the macro as needed. Once a week
records a great snapshot for the project.

Hi Rob,

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I'm very impressed with the speed. So far,
I have posted 3 questions since yesterday and they all have been answered
(unfortunately not all problems fixed but I'm working on it!).
Now, what you are proposing me, I knew I could do it. The macro will speed
up the process BUT is it the only way to do it?

Hi Inuit,

Open your pool with the third option ("and all sharer files") and your
master project is there for the taking. No macro, standard Project.
