Hi All

Following a previous post I have renamed (numbered) the views as follows:

1.Gantt Chart
2.Tracking Gantt
3.Resource Sheet
4.Network Diagram
5.Task Usage
6.Resource Usage

However, the view bar isn't displying the resource sheet and resource usage
in the sequence. There basically missing or have stayed in the existing
sequence.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance to all who reply, H

Hello H,

Project will organize the view in sections - first listing all task
views, then listing all the resource views. So your current list
will say:

1. Gantt Chart
2. Tracking Gantt
4. Network Diagram
5. Task Usage
3. Resource Sheet
6. Resource Usage.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Julie

Hope you're well and in good spirits matey. I'm getting:

1. Gantt Chart
2. Tracking Gantt
4. Network Diagram
5. Task Usage
Calendar
Gannt Chart
Network Diagram
...and then somewhere down the list
3. Resource Sheet
6. Resource Usage

So I know have duplicate views and there not sequenced. I went into the
organiser and deleted all the duplicates views and views I didn't review from
the Project only. But they still appear in the view bar.

Any ideas?

Cheers, H :)

Hi H,

I'm doing quite well and thanks for asking :)

It sounds as though you've re-created some views (Gantt chart,
Tracking Gantt, etc.) instead of renaming the existing views?

Either way, to remove the "regular" Gantt view and other views from
the view bar:
View > More Views.
Select the view you'd like to remove.
Click the edit button and remove the check from the option "Show in
menu."
That will remove the view from the **current** project view bar.
The view will still exist and can be re-displayed in the view bar
but reversing the process.

If you do not want the view to appear in all **new** projects, copy
the view over to the Global.mpt file using Tools > Organizer.
Select your modified view in the right pane and click the copy
button to copy that view back to the global.mpt (left pane). When
prompted to overwrite the existing view, click yes.

Hi Julie

Thanks for replying (again). I kept it simple and unchecked the dialog box
:)

Talk about making things more complicated then they need to be!!!! <tut tut>

Speak soon and have a great day, H
