Restrict web access from outlook

I have had to restrict internet access for a user. However, access is still
available from the outlook web bar. How can I restrict web / internet access
from outlook?

How did you restrict internet access in the first place? You could change
their IP config so that they don't have a default gateway, or you could use
a proxy server, etc....

I changed the security of the iexplore.exe to "no access", so the executable
/ icon won't work. How would I change the IP config or use a proxy server.
Please explain.

Barbara,

You can set a system policy for this user. The setting in the GPO snap-in
is:

Outlook 2002 - Disable Items in User Interface - Predefined - Disable
command bar buttons and menu items - Web toolbar: Address

You can also use Browse Control www.browsecontrol.com this will
achieve what you want.

Thank you Jaimin. I downloaded the evaluation copy. Before I install it, is
it basically user friendly? Are there any issues with NT? Thanks for your

Yes, it does work with Win98/NT/2000 & XP.

It's quite user friendly...there is a quick start which will talk you
through the install.
