Revising InfoPath customized form

Once I have save the customized form and filled in the blanks, I realized
that I need to add another item to the form. Everytime I tried this funtion
(which I go to "Design a Form", I am unable to do so and receive a message at
the bottom of the form, "Restricted form template". How can I unrestrict the
form and revise the form with addtional information?
