Right-Click option: Paste Unformatted

Hello all,

I checked the FAQs, cannot find anything addressing it.

As often happens, I find formatted text on the web that I want to copy and
paste, without any formatting, into a WORD doc.

A good mod perhaps someone in the form could suggest would be:
(a) word defaults to pasting w/o formatting
or GREAT:
(b) adding a right click option for "Paste w/o Formatting"

I am using Word 2003.

Any help?

You can use Paste Special as Unformatted Text in any version of Word. In
Word 2002 and 2003, if you have the Paste Options button enabled, you have
further choices: click the arrow and you can choose "Keep Text Only" (the
equivalent of pasting unformatted text) or any of several other
context-sensitive options. For more, see

Hi Jim,

Put this macro in your normal.dot or another global template (see
http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm):

Public Sub PasteUnformatted()
On Error Resume Next ' if clipboard has no text
Selection.PasteSpecial datatype:=wdPasteText
End Sub

Add the macro to one or more of the right-click (shortcut) menus as
described at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AsgnCmdOrMacroToToolbar.htm.
