I just got word 2007, and I want my default doc settings to be different
than it came out of the box. I followed the instructions for changing them,
and if I go through the start menu and open word, I get the settings I want.
But if I right-click and select new-->word document, the document that opens
has the out of the box default settings.

This is known and re-producible. I am not sure what the procedure is to
ensure that both methods create the *same* new document.

Can we find a solution? Isn't there a manual registry entry that we can
adjust or something? Until DOCX becomes more widley used, I want the ability
to create DOC files from the desktop in the old way. Please advise. Thanks!
