Rotating an object w/a macro

J

Jeff Harbin

I'm trying to place several wheels on a slide and I want them to appear as if
they are rotating.

I've created the 4 different graphics required to make the animation and
placed them on top of one another but now I need a couple things to make it
move.

1) Can I turn the individual graphics on and off (make visible or
invisible)?

2) Can I build a delay between the turning each element on and off?

3) How do I make this macro run when I start viewing the slide in a
slideshow and turn it off when I'm not viewing the slide?

Thanks,

Jeff

I hope this is possible.

You can do this in the latest versions of PowerPoint without the use of macros

It's a presentation for work and we're a little slow on the upgrades.
(Thanks to outsourcing of IT support at my company.)

We are still using Powerpoint 2000 w/no current plan that I'm aware of to
upgrade. Is it possible to do what I want in PP 2000?

Thanks.

Jeff,

wouldn't it be easier to create an animated GIF file for this animation? It
can be done easily with Animation Shop, which comes with Paint Shop Pro, and
there are also Freeware programs available on the web. Animated GIF will
show movement in PPT 2000's slide show view.

Kind regards,
Ute

Unfortunately, you'll need version 2002 or 2003.

Thank you very much. I'll pursue making and saving the gif outside of PP and
inserting it.

If all else fails, this could be done with a macro, but the other
solutions (upgrading or creating an animated GIF) seem much easier to me,
particularly if you have no experience writing VBA macros.
